Tony Blair's Make Poverty History wristband | A school in Northampton has banned its pupils from wearing charity wristbands - because some children were making money out of them. Many charities sell the wristbands to raise money and awareness of campaigns such as the Make Poverty History campaign and Cancer Research. But staff at Northampton School for Boys have decided to ban them. They say the decision was made because pupils were bartering with the bands - and the money was not going to charity.
