Dispersal order for town centre
A dispersal order is being introduced to the town centre of Northampton to help reduce anti-social behaviour.

The three-month order - which starts on Friday - will cover Auctioneers Way, Pen Court and Bidders Close.

In recent months, residents have complained about motorcycle nuisance, criminal damage and abusive behaviour.

Under the order, groups of two or more people, who have either caused or are believed likely to harrass or distress other people could be dispersed.

Police said anyone under the age of 16 who is within the dispersal zone after 2100 GMT can be taken home by police, unless at the time, they are with someone aged over 18.
