The estimated 2,500 motorbiking Santas did four laps of the circuit

Organisers were hoping to top the record for the largest gathering of Santas on Bikes set by the Portuguese in Euro 2004 when there were 5,443.

In the end the attempt at Rockingham in Northamptonshire managed an estimated 2,500 Father Christmases who had travelled from all over the country.

Proceeds from the event are going to Antics - a children's cancer charity.
