The Nest Farm Youth Club was facing a financial crisis after a council decision to start charging it rent for use of Hemmingwell Community Centre. Police said the area's crime had fallen considerably with the opening of the club. The force is providing nearly 3,000 to keep the scheme going and pay for its annual trip for the next two years.
