 Services at Scarborough Hospital were rated "weak" |
A North Yorkshire NHS trust has received the lowest marks possible in the annual healthcare ratings. Scarborough and North East Yorkshire NHS Trust has been rated "weak" in both quality of services and use of resources by the Healthcare Commission.
The trust, which runs Scarborough Hospital, said it was confident recent changes would improve its performance.
In September a last-minute deal averted the loss of 600 jobs at the hospital, which needs to save �10m.
Harrogate and District NHS Trust has been rated "excellent" for use of resources and "good" for services.
The newly-organised Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) was rated as "weak" in both areas.
Ian Walton, acting chief executive of YAS, said: "We are absolutely committed to improving in the areas where we are weak and developing further the areas in which we have shown good practice to be in place."
York Hospitals NHS Trust was rated "excellent" for quality of services, but "weak" for use of resources.
The North Yorkshire and York Primary Care Trust was rated as "fair" for services and "weak" for use of resources.
