The group staged a rooftop protest at York Minster in 2004 |
Fathers' rights activists are staging a demonstration in York claiming it will be the start of a renewed national campaign. A previous protest in the city saw members enter York Minister dressed as monks, vicars and nuns.
Founder Matt O'Connor said their aim was to raise the issue of "children growing up without fathers".
"It is a big political issue but as ever we are Fathers 4 Justice - expect the unexpected," he said.
The event comes more than two years after two members of Fathers 4 Justice staged a rooftop protest at York Minster.
Twelve more protesters disrupted a service of the Church of England's General Synod.
The group was reported to have split into various factions early in 2006 and reformed in May of that year following a protest stunt on BBC's National Lottery Show.
