Flood warning for Yorkshire coast
Scarborough bay
Scarborough is among several towns at risk this weekend
People living along North Yorkshire's coast have been warned about possible flooding after predictions of the highest tides for 10 years in the area.

The high tides are predicted between Friday and Sunday. The high tide mark could rise by three metres at Whitby.

An Environment Agency spokesman warned that low lying land and roads are expected to suffer from flooding over the weekend.

Further high tides are also predicted for 9-11 September and 7-10 October.
