| A stab-proof vest saved a security guard from injury when he was attacked while on duty at a hospital in York. The guard was patrolling the grounds of Bootham Park Hospital in the early hours of Sunday when he saw four men and asked them to leave. He followed them out of the grounds and when they reached Clarence Street one of the men produced a knife and stabbed him in the chest before running off. But the guard's protective vest meant he was not injured.
