People living in York who need to see a dentist are being told there are no NHS dentists taking on new patients. NHS direct says all the dentist's books are full and they have the option of going outside the area or paying for private treatment.
The Selby and York Primary Care Trust acknowledges the shortages, but says some days there are spaces, and on others there are not any.
