| The Wensleydale Railway is expanding its service, by adding an extra train to its timetable and bringing two former stations back into use. The line reopened in July last year, running passenger services on a 12-mile route between Leeming Bar and Leyburn. From Sunday it adds almost five miles to its route, with the reopening of stations in Bedale and Redmire. It is hoped the full 40-mile route will eventually be restored, connecting it with the East Coast Main Line.
