Changes likely to parking plans
New proposals over parking in York are likely to be modified after protests from bar staff and church goers.

City of York Council wants to charge for parking in the city centre in the evening and to ban parking at any time on certain streets.

Now councillors are being recommended to give discounts to people who regularly work in the city centre after 1800 GMT.

And parking bans could be lifted on Sundays near places of worship.
