An armed police operation at a house in York has come to an end. Officers received a call at 1140 BST on Wednesday telling them a man with a gun was in a building in Burton Stone Lane.
The former nursing home is commonly used by squatters.
North Yorkshire Police officers, some of whom were armed, surrounded the building.
Just before 1700 BST they entered the building and found no one there although they did recover a replica gun.
Police say they are satisfied the orginal information was given with good intent.
