Stars of the Calendar Girls film will be treading the red carpet in Leeds on Wednesday evening for the northern premiere of the hit film. After attending a star-studded London premiere of the film, the actresses and the Women's Institute (WI) members who inspired the film, will be at The Light Cinema on The Headrow at 1845 BST.
Stars of the film including Dame Helen Mirren and Julie Walters are expected to join the members of Rylstone WI for the Leeds event.
And the day after the glitz of the London premire of Calendar Girls, a BBC documentary takes a look at the real story behind the Disney film.
On the set in the Yorkshire Dales, Julie Walters and Dame Helen Mirren reveal on the programme why they wanted to be in the film, a gentle comedy which made an impact at the Cannes Film Festival.
Idea attracted attention
It is only four years since 11 middle-aged members of the Rylstone Women's Institute stripped for their own nude calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund, after one of them, Angela Baker, lost her husband to the disease.
Their daring idea attracted attention and helped them to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for the fund.
But the resulting international fame had an impact.
The documentary, Home Ground, reveals the full story of what happened to the women and their relationships and why they decided to go their separate ways.
Home Ground will be shown on Wednesday, 3 September at 1930 BST on BBC Two.
