Second power cut night for homes

Homes in parts Norfolk have experienced a second night with no electricity after power was cut during bad weather conditions.

Several customers around King's Lynn and Fakenham are still waiting for full power to be restored.

EDF Energy said teams were also working to restore power in areas including Norwich, East Rainham, Colkirk, Stanfield and Methwold-Hythe.

It said its efforts were being hampered by poor travel conditions.

The British Red Cross has visited the most vulnerable customers and additional staff are working to restore power.

Tracey Starling, from EDF Energy, said it was difficult to predict when power would be back on.
