Soup factory redevelopment plans

Proposed redevelopment
Plans include an improved road and business park

A supermarket chain with plans to redevelop the former Campbell's soup factory in Norfolk says it could create up to 700 jobs.

Tesco, which bought the Hardwick Road site in King's Lynn last year, has put its ideas to the borough council.

The company wants to extend its nearby supermarket and create a five-hectare business park, hotel and car showroom.

Tesco says the site is to be called Campbell's Meadow and would have improved road and pedestrian access.
