County aims to save post offices
A county council is to oppose more post office closures and is calling for an end to the policy of removing government business from branches.

Cabinet member for economic development at Norfolk County Council, Christopher How is enlisting help from local MPs.

He is to explain the campaign's aims and ask for their support in the House of Commons.

Mr How wants the Secretary of State John Hutton to look at other functions post offices could carry out.

He is also enlisting the help of local organisations to lobby other MPs, Post Office management and government officials.
