Noel Gallagher's ex-wife Meg Matthews avoids prosecution
An allegation that the former wife of Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was driving above the speed limit has been withdrawn after a paperwork error.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said that Meg Matthews had not been sent the "appropriate form".

Ms Matthews, from Gimingham, Norfolk, had been accused of driving at 103mph on the A11 near Thetford in February.

She had been due in court after being caught on a speed camera. Ms Matthews and Gallagher divorced in 2000.

A CPS spokesman said: "In this case the appropriate form had not been served on the defendant, which meant that the case cannot be proved."
