Children put on a presentation at a church for the Queen |
The Queen marked the 54th year of her reign and the anniversary of the death of her father by attending the Sunday service at a Sandringham church. The Duke of Edinburgh accompanied her to West Newton church in Norfolk.
During the morning service the Queen presented 17 Sunday school pupils with awards for good attendance.
Rev Jonathan Riviere, who led the service, said: "It is always lovely when the Queen comes to the church. The children seem to really enjoy it."
The Queen, who turns 80 in April, will return to Buckingham Palace next week after being in residence at Sandringham since before Christmas.
