Sir Elton sings on Canaries pitch
Sir Elton John
Sir Elton John will be holding his concert on the Canaries pitch
More than 20,000 people are expected at the Canaries' Carrow Road ground on Sunday to see Elton John in concert.

The singer will fly to Norwich Airport for the show and leave directly after.

Preparations have been in full swing since Thursday to set up the stage and prepare the football stadium to become an auditorium.

A special surface has been laid to protect the ground's turf. John Davy from the specialist firm says the pitch will be perfect afterwards.

Michelle Hurren, from Norwich Tourism Information, says they have had plenty of enquiries about the gig but mostly about parking.

Her advice is to follow the signs as the same car parks will be used as for football matches.
