Go-ahead for three supermarkets
Councillors have given the go-ahead for three out of four plans for giant superstores in market towns and resorts in Norfolk.

Plans for a Morrisons in Cromer, a Budgens in Wells and a Tesco store in Fakenham were agreed by North Norfolk Council on Wednesday.

But councillors said a Tesco store in Sheringham would be too destructive and voted against the plans.

An alternative site for the store is now being explored by the council.

Traders have expressed concerns that the developments will ruin their businesses but many residents support the schemes for larger stores.
