A man was fined after becoming embroiled in a hotel row between a couple who were due to appear on the Trisha Show. Andrew Randall, of Walworth, London, was arrested at Norwich Sports Village Hotel after a violent row broke out.
The two guests - due to discuss restarting their relationship on the show - began arguing and Randall threw a plate at them.
He admitted criminal damage and was fined 100 by Norwich Magistrates.
Randall was also ordered to pay 55 compensation to the hotel and 45 costs.
Filming cancelled
The trio had been staying at the hotel on the night before the woman and the other man - a friend of Randall - were due to appear on the talk show.
But following Randall's arrest on 6 May, the Trisha Show cancelled the programme.
The court was told that when the couple started arguing, Randall threw a plate at the pair which missed them both but hit and smashed a picture.
A spokeswoman for the show said Randall was not due to be a guest on Trisha but the show had paid for him to travel to Norwich to accompany his friend.
She added: "The Trisha Show does not condone or encourage this type of behaviour by guests or their travel companions, which is reflected in our decision to cancel the planned programme."
