A&E helped to reach time targets
Troubleshooters have been brought in to the accident and emergency unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn to help cut waiting times.

The hospital has been struggling to reach the Government target of treating 90% of waiting patients in less than four hours.

Managers hope extra nursing staff will help to get them back on target.

By next January the government wants 98% of patients to be seen within the four hour limit.

Last week the Queen Elizabeth Hospital saw 93% within that time - well over the government's previous target.

A national emergency care team of two doctors, a nurse and a manager will be in the department for a day to see if the measures already put in place are working, and to suggest others which can help.
