 Bailiffs were calling at 350 addresses across the city |
Teams of bailiffs joined forces with police in an operation targeted to catch dozens of fine defaulters in Norwich on Thursday. They were chasing unpaid fines ranging from �45 to �2,500 at 350 homes across the city. The 2,500 outstanding fines add up to �470,000.
Some cars were seized and one BMW owner who owed a �40 parking fine had to pay �436 to have it freed from a clamp.
Some people were arrested for being in breach of court orders.
