Global street festival under way

More than 70 acts from across the world are taking part in the festival

A festival is under way in Liverpool to celebrate Capital of Culture year.

The three-day event sees street theatre, music and puppetry shows taking place across the city through to the end of the bank holiday weekend.

More than 70 acts from various countries, including Italy, Argentina and Spain, are performing at the event.

Most shows are taking place in Derby Square, Williamson Square, Bold Street, Church Street, Lord Street and around St Luke's Church.
