Liverpool fans are hoping for another final place

Ticketless Liverpool fans are being urged not to travel to London for the Champions League semi-final.

The Reds take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for a place in the final in Moscow against Manchester United.

Supporters with tickets are being warned that alcohol is banned from areas around the ground in Fulham, Hammersmith, Kensington and Chelsea.

Merseyside Police said there would be stringent policing and any bad behaviour would not be tolerated.

"There will be zero tolerance of drunken and anti-social behaviour," a spokeswoman said.

"Supporters should expect to be refused entry or ejected from the ground if they arrive drunk or are involved in bad behaviour."

With the score locked at 1-1, Chelsea are slight favourites going into the second leg of the tie.
