Murdered couple stabbed to death

Police cordoned off the scene after the bodies were found

A Liverpool couple who were found murdered at their home died from multiple stab wounds, a post-mortem examination has found.

Alan and Stella Scott, who were in their 60s, were discovered at the house on Redington Road in Allerton on Tuesday afternoon.

Their 35-year-old son has been arrested on suspicion of murder and sectioned under the mental health act.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing.
