Library visit for boxer Holyfield
Evander Holyfield
Evander Holyfield will read from his autobiography
Former world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield is reading to a group of children in Liverpool.

Holyfield, 45, who lost a part of his ear in a fight with Mike Tyson in 1997, will appear at Liverpool's Central Library.

The boxer will read autobiography extracts as part of World Book Day.

Councillor Paul Clein, Liverpool's executive member for children's services, said Holyfield could "really strike a chord with young people".

"The young people will hear an inspirational book read by someone who came from very humble beginnings yet triumphed over adversity," he said.

John Keane, Liverpool City Council's library customer services manager, said the session was aimed at inspiring a love of books among young people who do not often read or use libraries.
