A service is to be held in Liverpool to mark the 200th anniversary of Britain's abolition of the slave trade. As a year of commemorations draws to a close, Archbishop Patrick Kelly will lead a service of reflection and prayer in memory of those who were enslaved.
Those taking part in the service at the Metropolitan Cathedral at 1500 BST include Christian Aid and Asylum Link.
An exhibition about slavery is being displayed at the cathedral over the next two weeks.
