Three teenagers charged with the murder of a man who died after approaching a group of youths have appeared in court. Garry Newlove, 47, was injured outside his home in Station Road North in Warrington, Cheshire, on Friday night.
The father-of-three was taken to hospital but died on Sunday afternoon after suffering trauma to his head.
The boys, two aged 15 and one aged 16, appeared before magistrates in Runcorn where they were remanded to appear at Warrington Youth Court on 20 August.
Three other youths arrested in connection with the inquiry have been released by police.
A seventh youth, aged 18, was arrested on Monday and remains in police custody.
According to friends Mr Newlove was married to Helen and the couple have three daughters - Zoe, aged about 19, Danielle, 16, and Amy, who is thought to be 12.
Mr Newlove was said to have been working as a sales manager for a plastics company.
A post mortem examination showed he died as a result of a haemorrhage caused by a hard blow near his left ear.
