Man charged over football thefts
Peter Crouch
Burglars struck while Crouch was playing in a European match
A man has been charged with two burglaries at the homes of Liverpool footballers.

England star Peter Crouch, new Danish defender Daniel Agger, Jerzy Dudek and on-loan striker Sinama Pongolle have all been burgled in recent weeks.

Merseyside police raided a house in Tuebrook last week and recovered medals, shirts and hi-fi equipment.

James Birch, 20, of Liverpool, is due to appear before Wirral Magistrates later.

Police would not say which incidents the charges related to.
