Two teenage boys have been arrested after a 13-year-old girl was subjected to a sex attack at a swimming pool. Police said the girl was getting changed in a communal changing room at the pool in Birkenhead, Merseyside, when she was assaulted.
Two 16-year-old boys from Birkenhead were being held in connection with the incident, said Merseyside Police.
The girl is being comforted by her family after her ordeal at the Europa Pools complex in Conway Street.
The girl ran for help to staff, who contacted police, after the attack on Monday afternoon.
Detectives have examined CCTV footage from the swimming pool and have collected forensic evidence from the changing rooms.
