Views invited on hospital plans
Alder Hey plans for expansion into Springfield Park
The hospital says the plans will not compromise parkland
The public are being consulted on plans to redevelop Alder Hey Children's Hospital into a nearby park.

Plans are being made to expand the Liverpool site into Springfield Park to modernise the hospital's facilities.

Local councillors and residents have voiced concerns about the scheme and losing any parkland. The hospital insists this will not be the case.

The public can give their views at a meeting, before a two-day workshop is held to look at the plans in detail.

Terry Windle, director of strategic planning at Alder Hey, said: "Our message is that we want to work with local people, to ensure that when we build into the park, we will, at the end of the process, return like-for-like, if not more parkland to the local community."
