Andy Brown hopes to return to work soon |
A man from Wirral who lost both legs in the London bombings has returned home after almost two months in hospital. Andy Brown, 49, of Oxton, was in the capital on business when he was seriously injured by the bomb blast at Liverpool Street Station on 7 July.
Mr Brown said he hoped he would soon be able to return to his job as a facilities planner at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The married father-of-three is due to resume treatment at a local hospital.
After spending two months at the Royal London Hospital he visited the airport and said he was keen to see the Yellow Submarine, which he worked on bringing back to the site from the city centre.
"It was great to be reacquainted with so many friends and colleagues who work at the airport and to thank them personally for their continued support," he said.
"It was also good to see the Yellow Submarine in situ, having project managed its relocation to the airport prior to the events of 7 July."
