A doctor charged with murdering a woman whose body was found at his home has appeared in court. Doctor Abdullah Eltom, 52, was arrested on Tuesday when police found the body at the house in Thornton, Merseyside.
A post-mortem examination revealed she died of asphyxiation. The woman has not yet been identified.
The father-of-three appeared at South Sefton Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court next Tuesday.
