The two men protested on a balcony at the court |
Two campaigners for pressure group Fathers 4 Justice have ended their protest at Liverpool Crown Court. The 42-year-old and 32-year-old, dressed as Batman and Robin, scaled the court on Monday morning, because Cherie Booth QC was visiting.
Rory Wilmer, a spokesman for Fathers 4 Justice, said they were protesting during the prime minister's wife's visit because of her high profile.
The campaigners were arrested by police on suspicion of aggravated trespass.
Police negotiators did talk to the pair through a window at the court in an effort to get them down.
Ms Booth is understood to be involved in a family law case which is being heard at the court.
Fathers 4 Justice says it campaigns for "children's rights to see both parents and grandparents".
