Seven kiosks exploded
A 29-year-old man has been sent to crown court accused of blowing up seven telephone boxes in north Liverpool.

Dennis Green, of Lake Street, Anfield, Liverpool, appeared before Liverpool Magistrates Court in connection with the incidents which took place over a week ago.

He was charged with conspiracy to cause criminal damage with intent to endanger life.

Magistrates rejected a bail application by his solicitor David Mitchell.

Industrial fireworks

Mr Green is scheduled to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 8 October.

The telephone kiosks in the Anfield, Everton and Breckfield areas of the city were severely damaged by industrial fireworks on 19 September.

No-one is believed to have been hurt in the explosions.
