Thomas Thompson had been bullied since he was a young boy |
The post-mortem examination of an 11-year-old boy who killed himself after being bullied was due to take place on Monday. Thomas Thompson, who attended Wallasey School, in Merseyside, was found in his bedroom by his mother on Thursday.
She called an ambulance but he died on his way to hospital.
Thomas is believed to have taken a number of painkilling tablets, causing him to suffer a heart attack.
His mother, Sandra, said she did not realise her son was finding the bullying unbearable.
She said he had been bullied for being "too clever".
Martin Pope, headteacher of Wallasey School, in Wirral, said on Thursday that he did not think Thomas had been bullied by pupils at the school.
He said the school was aware of problems the youngster had had with boys from other schools at a bus stop.
