A man has been arrested on suspicion of burgling Manchester United footballer Darren Fletcher's house and threatening his fiancee at knifepoint. The Scotland midfielder's front door was kicked in and his house in Bowdon raided while the star was away in Italy on European duty on 23 February. The raiders also threatened his fiancee Hayley Grice and her mother. A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and bailed until 14 May, police said. A statement from Greater Manchester Police said: "A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a house in Bowdon, Trafford. "Shortly before 9pm on 23 February, police were called to a house following a report of an armed robbery. "Officers attended and found that robbers had threatened two women. Two young children, twins aged two, were also in the house. An engagement ring, jewellery and watches were stolen."
