Murder charge over stabbing death

A man has been charged with murder after the body of a woman was found at a house in Manchester.

Sabina Akhtar, 26, who was known in the local community as KumKum, was found by police at the house on Charlton Road, Levenshulme, on Friday.

A post-mortem examination found she died from a stab wound.

Malik Mannan, 35, of Meldon Road, Longsight, is charged with her murder and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court later.
