Stephen Parkin died at the scene |
The family of the man stabbed to death in Manchester over the weekend has paid tribute to a "beautiful, cheeky, outgoing lad". Stephen Parkin, 22, was killed outside the Premier Travel Inn, on Stockport Road, Hattersley, on Saturday morning.
Mr Parkin's family said: "He was a really family-orientated lad and we all miss him terribly."
Seven people, all aged between 17 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been released on bail.
Mr Parkin's family said Stephen was "a loveable guy with a great sense of humour."
"He was outgoing and friendly and was very loyal and protective of the ones that he loved."
Paramedics were called to the hotel at about 0430 GMT. His injuries were too severe and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Parkin, of Nelson Street, Hyde, was just one of three people stabbed to death in Greater Manchester in under five hours over the weekend, although police are not linking the incidents.
