The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have visited cancer sufferers at a hospital in Manchester. Prince Charles and Camilla gave their royal seal of approval to the Christie Hospital in Withington, Manchester.
The couple spent about 20 minutes talking to patients in the hospital's complementary health department,
They then went to Gorton Monastery, which is currently undergoing a �6m restoration, and Prince Charles joined in with a stone masonry lesson.
The work at the Grade II listed building is due for completion in three months time and the monastery will be used as a community and conference venue.
At Christie Hospital, the royal couple met Dr Jacqui Stringer, clinical lead complementary therapist at the hospital, who is working with Manchester University to develop a special mix of oils to put in a protective gel wash.

She said: "He was very interested in my work - genuinely so - and his questions were pertinent. "He's very knowledgeable and charming."
Leukaemia sufferer David Battersby, 39, said The Duchess had spoken to him.
He said: "From what she said to me, it seems both her and Charles have had complementary therapy treatments themselves, including reflexology.
"They're big fans, I think. She said it had benefited them."
Chief Executive of the Christie Hospital, Caroline Shaw, said: "It is a huge honour to have the Prince and Duchess visit two of our outstanding services in helping cancer patients recover."
