Staff at sports retailer JJB are staging a protest against the sacking of a union official involved in a recent pay dispute. Hundreds of GMB Union members at the firm's warehouse in Wigan, Greater Manchester, have been voting on whether to start fresh industrial action.
GMB said staff were angry the company had failed to implement an agreement that helped settle the pay dispute.
No one from JJB was available for comment on the protest.
Union members and warehouse staff from Wigan were gathering outside a JJB sports shop in west London on Sunday.
'No victimisation'
Workers were on strike throughout October and November in a dispute over pay, which was thought to have been resolved.
However, GMB officials said the company had gone back on an agreement which stated that "all grievances associated with the dispute would be withdrawn".
A row flared again after the sacking of a shop steward which the GMB said was against a no victimisation clause.
JJB Sports has about 430 shops in the UK and its executive director is David Whelan, owner of Wigan Athletic and its ground, the JJB stadium.
