More strikes for sports retailer
JJB Stores
JJB Sports has more than 400 shops in the UK
Workers at sports goods firm JJB are to stage two further strikes in a row over pay and conditions.

Hundreds of members of the GMB staged a third 24-hour walkout at the firm's warehouse in Wigan, Greater Manchester, on Thursday.

Three people were injured on the picket line when a lorry collided with a trailer canopy outside the warehouse.

The GMB said they will strike again on 15 and 16 November and will continue with a work-to-rule and overtime ban.

Regional officer Paul McCarthy said: "GMB members are determined to get a better basic rate and access to an achievable bonus for all when they work hard."

Two men standing next to the canopy were taken to hospital with cuts and bruises. A woman who suffered grazes declined medical treatment.

The trio were among 100 protesters taking part in a 24-hour strike on Thursday over pay and conditions.

Workers have gone on strike three times in the past two weeks.

Staff will also be demonstrating outside JJB sports shops across England and Scotland on Saturday.
