A man was taken to hospital after being shot in Manchester on Monday night. The 24-year-old was attacked in an alleyway off Broadfield Road shortly before 1900 BST in the Moss Side area of the city.
Although his injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening, detectives believe the man was deliberately targeted in the attack.
Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
