Armed raiders flee with watches | | A gang armed with a hammer and a suspected gun fled with watches worth thousands of pounds in a raid on a shop on Friday afternoon. Police said the three men threatened staff at Watches of Switzerland at King Street in Manchester, before smashing up cabinets. A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said none of the shop's staff were hurt in the raid. Detectives have issued an appeal for witnesses.
