Towns compete for Monopoly board
Three North West towns are vying for the right to get their very own Monopoly board.

People can vote over the internet for either Bolton, Wigan or Preston as part of a competition celebrating the game's 70th birthday.

The game featuring the winning town aims to be on the shelves in time for next Christmas.

The result will be announced after the General Election is decided on 5 May, games firm Winning Moves UK said.

The winning town would have its own landmarks replacing the celebrated London ones such as Mayfair, Park Lane, Old Kent Road and Leicester Square.

Former UK Monopoly champion Ken Jones, 57, an accountant from Bolton, says: "I am already looking forward to Passing GO and buying up the Reebok."
