Sex attacker targets man in park
A 35-year-old man, out walking his dog in the park, was punched by another man and then sexually attacked, say police.

The man, who police believe suffered a sex attack while unconsious, woke to find his screaming attacker being attacked by his dog.

The attack took place during the early hours of Thursday on playing fields at the end of Barrow Street, Leigh.

The man, who was sitting on a park bench, was knocked out by his alleged attacker who asked him the time.

The victim then ran home and told the police.

The attacker is white, of a large build and was wearing a beige cap.

Anyone with information is being asked in contact police or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
