New Shafilea post mortem ordered
Shafilea Ahmed
Shafilea's body was found by the River Kent near Kendal
A coroner has ordered that a second post mortem examination should be carried out on the body of the Cheshire 17-year-old Shafilea Ahmed.

An inquest has been told that the initial examination failed to determine exactly how she had died.

Shafilea, of Warrington, died some time after drinking bleach in an apparent protest at an arranged marriage.

Police said an attempt had been made to hide her body, which was found by the River Kent, Cumbria, in February.

She had gone missing from her home on 11 September last year.

DNA tests were used to confirm her identity, but tests failed to establish a cause of death.

Her parents were arrested on suspicion of her kidnap in December but released on bail.

They have denied any involvement in her death.
