Fridge depot fire inquiry
An investigation has begun after a more than 70 firefighters were called to tackle a fire at a fridge depot.

Fire officers said on Friday that arson had not been ruled out following the incident on Christmas Day.

Crews were called to the storage yard in Newton Heath, Manchester, just before 2100 GMT.

At its height the fire, off River Park Road, produced a large cloud of dense black smoke.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester County Fire Service said fire investigators were considering the possibility the fire was started deliberately.
