Family and friends of those killed by knives are expected to join thousands of protesters for a march and peace rally in central London.

Two groups of demonstrators will assemble at Kennington Park in south London and Caledonian Park in north London on Saturday morning.

They will head to Hyde Park to listen to guest speakers at the rally.

Relatives of Damilola Tayor and Ben Kinsella are among those expected at the People's March.

Actress Linda Robson, whose son was with Ben when he died in north London in June, will be among those addressing the crowds.

She said: "Lots of parents of all the kids that have been stabbed are going to make their way there and people from all over the country are going to march and we're all going to meet at Hyde Park.

"Quite a lot of people are getting up to speak, myself included, just to say the kids are really scared when they go out."

The march begins at 0930 BST and the rally is due to start at 1430 BST.

The death of Oliver Kingonzila, 19, on Saturday took the number of teenagers violently killed in London this year to 26 - 18 of those were victims of knife crime.
